Cassandra’s Story

“God’s future is greater than our past.”
For many years, I struggled with addiction. Salvation came to me in 2002, when I realized the only way I could get the help I needed was to surrender to a power greater than myself.

For me, that power was God.

In May 2006, I opened up the first recovery home for women in Taylors, SC, starting out with only 6 beds and no funding. I wanted to teach other women who struggled with addiction that they too, could stop “just surviving” and start living if they learned to work the “12 Steps to Spiritual Recovery.”

Just For Today is not only my passion, it’s my purpose.

Working with these women to help them grow, recover and identify their life purpose through a renewal of faith is what drives me and motivates me. I am at my closest to God when I am helping others and I feel so blessed to be the Executive Director of such a life-affirming program. Today, we have 18 beds in three homes in Taylors and continue to grow this ministry for women in need of a safe place to help them overcome their daily struggles with addiction. Through Just For Today, with God’s help, and your support and prayers, we are helping to restore lives and bring
families back together.
